General Rules
1. Oversized cosplays must be accompanied with a handler.
2. No bare feet. Costumes must come equipped with footwear.
3. Costumes should not contain any liquids, gels, or any other
substance that could potentially cause a mess.
4. Costumes should not contain any “Live” edges that are capable of
cutting.
5. Costumes should not contain any “Live” metal.
a. Metal chains must not be less than 12 inches long and no
more than one inch thick.
b. Nonmetal chains must be under 7 feet, as they can
potentially pose a safety or fire hazard.
Weapons/Props
1. All weapons/props must pass through the Weapons Check In
booth.
2. Cosplay weapons/props are not allowed at Geek On if they are/contain
any of the following:
a. “Live” edged weapons (Edged weapons capable of cutting)
b. Firearms, including any kind of projectile weapon (i.e.
functioning air guns or bows). Plugged firearm props are OK.
c. Pyrotechnics of any kind.
d. “Actual” clubs, bludgeons, or maces.
e. Liquids, gels, or any other substance that could potentially
cause a mess.
f. “Live” Metal, in any shape or form. Metal chains must be less than 12 inches long and 1 inch thick.
g. Bigger than 6’5” in height.
3. Acceptable weapons/props could include airfilled, soft plastic, or
foam swords/daggers, maces/clubs.
